Biathlon Saskatchewan and SASKI-Skiing for the Disabled are partnering to bring interactive sessions to the 2025 Nutrien Wintershines Festival from noon to 3 on Monday, February 17th! Head outdoors to Isinger Park for the opportunity to try out a variety of ski sleds for differently abled persons. Then head inside to Gather Local Market/Market Square to try out our optical biathlon rifles! All ages and abilities are welcome to try out these activities. We hope to see you there!
Many thanks to the IBU Biathlon 4 All initiative and Biathlon Canada for lending us the optical biathlon equipment to make this event a success!
Biathlon Saskatchewan Provincial Championship Hosting Guidelines
Biathlon Saskatchewan is pleased to release a final version of the Provincial Championships Hosting Guideline. Click here to access the document. The purpose of this document is to establish expectations and standards for hosting Provincials (March 2025), as well as provide guidance to host other Biathlon Saskatchewan sanctioned events. It is closely aligned with the Biathlon Canada Hosting Policy and builds on race hosting information in the existing How To Host a Sask Cup Race document. It contains descriptions of roles, rules, competition classes, land acknowledgement, timelines, etc. It will be a useful tool for building technical sport knowledge and competition capacity in Saskatchewan. The Guideline was piloted at Provincials last year and refined with the input of several individuals from across the organization (thank-you for the input!).
